Schreiba's 83g Miracles Rimless [40x24x20]

That's a bad flubber infestation you've got there mate, i'd suggest liberal doses of kalk paste :blown: followed up with an SPS frag 'carpet bombing' of the affected rockwork area to prevent re-infestation. ;)

Seriously though, that's a really cool angle you've used to catch that end shot - nice work mate  The zoos with pink centres in the middle of the shot look amazing. Is that a P. damicornis colony hanging out towards the front of the rocks, i won't keep damicornis again as they cause major headaches when they spawn on you repeatedly and the hundreds of 'cute' 1/4" spots start stinging stuff - i even had them all over the inside of my overflow box lol.
I knew some people might be offended by the zoa/paly shot in the SPS keepers forum :p

I did kind of reserve that corner for zoos though since there's really only light from the LEDs and not too much flow down there. And I've heard the same thing about the damicornis and it does worry me. Now that my acros are starting to taking off it may be time for it to go. The only reason I've kept it is probably because I've grown it out from such a small frag.

Your tank is maturing nicely, and is truly beautiful! What is your lighting comprised of, and what is your photo period? Thanks
Thanks echo! My lighting/photoperiod is as follows:

2x VHOs (VHO super actinic) - 3pm to 11pm
DIY LED's from Rapid LED (Two strips of 6 RB Cree XT-E LED's) - 4pm to 10pm
250W MH (Radium 20k) - 5pm to 10pm

I know I could have gone with two 250W MHs but I know if I did that I would have needed some type of active cooling. At its peak, my tank gets up to around 80.5 degrees with the one MH as it is. It does restrict where I can place acros though which is unfortunate.

Hope you don't take it the wrong way but the side view is better looking than FTS. Maybe because it was macro shot? Regardless absolutely amazing tank. Will try to model my system after yours.

Thanks!! Yeah it was shot with a 10-22mm wide angle lens so it gives a much different perspective, almost seems like it was taken underwater in the tank.

How are things going mate, just thought i'd point out there seems to be a problem with pictures loading on this page - i don't see any............ :)

Love the system.

And the ardex pointer.

Ive been wanting something just like that for photo background. Perfect, thanks.

:lmao: I've been traveling for the past three weeks so I barely even know myself! I also just got a new place so I will be moving the tank in the next month so I'm crossing my fingers that it all goes smoothly. It's not my first tank move but it is my first larger tank move.

Could you give specifics on what your running under the hood? Maybe a pic or two? :D
I have 1x 250W MH with a radium bulb and 2x VHOs. I also have 12x RB LEDs. I try and get a closeup shot of the lights at some point too.

Thanks! Glad I could help out!

I'm sure it will go smoothly mate (as smoothly as moving an SPS reef can lol), remember that the excitement and terror at times is all part of the joy of keeping SPS :lol2: Hope you share the details of how you do it as i'm sure others will find the info very useful. I could say good luck but you won't need it mate

Looks great. Got any shots of the overflow and plumbing?
Love the concrete. I'm going to do some sort of similar rimless.
Cheers.

Thanks biggles! Still haven't made the move yet but it should be soon...

Thanks ifarmer!

Thanks Av! I love rimless and probably will always have rimless tanks unless I have an in-wall. I don't have any of the overflow though but I could try and take some of the plumbing underneath.

updates?
how did the move go?
No updates as of now... Hopefully the tank will be moved soon!

Here's a few updated shots to show some growth. Also, hopefully next weekend I'll actually be making this tank move so these are the last shots before the tank will be in its new home. I know the tank is not the cleanest but its been tough only seeing my tank once every 2-3 weeks and for only 4 hours :(
