Ok so I saw one of these t my LFS and think they are pretty cool. However some sites seem to put it in the goby family. Will this cause issues with my yellow watchman goby?

Any one keeping these dartfish? what do you think?

I have 2 of these and they are very mellow. I also have zebra dartfish and they all hangout together. They do hide a lot. They come out to eat and that's about it. But I like them anyway. You don't need to worry I don't think because your goby hangs out in the lower part of your tank right? These guys will hang out middle to top of your tank providing you have rock where they can hide. I didn't realize that firefish are actually dartfish too.

I have had one before and he was a GREAT community fish. He spent a lot of time hiding under a specific rock keeping to himself, and if gobies have issue with a tank mate it's usually do to territory issues. So considering the dartfish more or less keeps to himself, I wouldn't think there would be an issue in keeping them together.

i had a couple for almost a year until one jumped out (you may want some mesh) and the other was eaten by crabs (still have to make one of them traps). great fish though, get a pair they play cool games together.

bought a school of 6 of these fish, they hangout tightly together all the time its super cool... my tangs like swimming through them lol i think they like dispersing them it makes them feel like the boss lol

neat fish but WILL carpet surf if startled...otherwise a good peacefull fish, shy and timid when 1st intro and when new additions are added but mine spent a lot of his lights on time in the open but never "far" from his cave

Yeah I have a pair and they hide like 24/7 and there the only fish in my 90 gallon! The one I think is the less dominate one or something. It just seems like the bigger one gets more food than the smaller guy :(. They have been in there for about 2 months so I guess there all good.
