Feb. Meeting

Sorry, can't make this one....... will be in sunny L.A. that weekend.

Hope the meeting is great.

John

I'll be there!

Last acrylic project I attempted didn't work out too well. Only tools I had were a box cutter, a file, and 2-part epoxy. Needless to say, that overflow didn't make it into my tank.

Do I need to bring anything to the meeting?

I will be there. I am definitely interested and can't wait to see how it's done....the right way.

Let's just say my dremel got an unnecessary workout when I made my splash guard.... :-)

Good, you too can help me. :p

SWEET!!! Count me in.
What are we making? Last acrylic workshop I went to was to make Knock Off GEO Kalk reactors with GEO.

Unless someone has a nano tank that could use an overflow box installed, we will be making widgets to give those who are interested hands on experience working with acrylic.

I hope its warm in the garage? and russ with all your acrylic exp. helping build your tank I think you should be the assistant ;)

you know what about building a fish trap and having that be the raffle item????
I like the one melev built, in a video on his website he shows it trapping a fish, seems like it would be simple, but i like how its big enough to trap a large fish.

this is the link to his video, I hope he doesnt mind me linking to it. Its pretty dang funny and a neat idea.

lets say 10x5x5 I think that seems like a good size, and you cant see the attaching plate at the top but I think a flat piece maybe 10" long with a 90 degree bend so it could be clamped to most anybodys tank with a small plastic clamp or something. Could all the acrylic be cut and then glued in an hour or so? Or would you have to have it all ready before hand?

I'll probably have to have some prep work done, but I don't know if I have enough 1/4" acrylic. :( We'll see what I can find.
