IMO two things regarding this pic should be noted:
*the life in/on the liverock
*the (glass) barebottom reef aquarium

this fish is around 2" long- shorter than a pectoral fin on my Angelfish

sometimes I use camera flash or sunlight to take pix.
getting a mate would probably intensify this fish's colors even more

Gary I've seen plenty of these around but never this colored up. I'd like to get one of these but am worried it would be more your drab colored ones.

Is it this colorful because of it being a juvi?
Is it this color because of its diet?

funny you should ask this

I was watching this fish on the (white) sandbed this morning before any lights came on. It was much whiter. So... apparently this fish can "darken up".
I've seen this one take prepared foods but mainly it eats what it finds in my aquarium (pods etc.)
