scored this unusual monti cap today...

i picked this up from mike at pacific reef in torrance today.

do monti caps change color? will it "color-up" or is this guy a common green cap in disguise?

let me know what you guys think. i just thought WOW if the color brightens up, this will be really nice! heck, it's even nice as-is... a little out of the ordinary

they colour up, I picked up nice brown cap a few months ago, the frags I put in high light are green w/purple rim.. the frags in lower light are still brown

Nice pick up! I assume you bought it out of the display tank near the entrance? I picked up a nice scrolling monti, a bit lighter than yours. Mike says he plans on stocking plenty more once a couple of the other tanks are up. Can't wait.

yup! i usually dont buy monti's but this one had the green edge... haha

yeah i cant wait to see their new display tanks once theyre set up.
