Scott's Oceanic Illuminatas (build thread)

tagging along, looks to be a great build scott. leaning towards doing a solo illuminata, so looking for ideas

Finally some updated pics, sorry it took so long. Nothing is really organized yet I want to build an actual wood stand for the skimmer to sit on, as you can see it's just sitting on a Rubbermaid bin right now. And my wires aren't wrapped up nicely yet.. The frag tank isn't ready to tap into the rest of the system yet, the water needs to cycle. I can't eait till the frag tank is ready so that I can get all these darn frags out of my display for the first time, ever.. But now you see what the finished product is pretty much going to be. Thank you, Scott

Yes i know my surge protector outlet sitting on the floor is a big no-no, that's just temporary, please don't eat me! ;)

this is such a cool setup  i love the color of the stain.you also have a nice clean display of your corals.

Thanks CMcNeil, I'm not sure if you looked at the rest of the build, but I was very lucky with the way the stain turned out

Thanks for the coral comment, It will be more organized once all these frags are in the frag tank, off my glass and sandbed ;)

awesome job! I thought the stain looked good in your first sets of pics, my pick for stains usally turn out a lot worse than that. Love the dual rimless tanks setup

Thats a nice setup you have going. Your stand looks nice too. You may have overbuilt it but its better to do that than come home to a flooded house.

Thank you, yes it's definitely overbuilt! I wanted to be able to sleep at night lol. The only thing bad about it being overbuilt is it's very heavy, but I don't plan on moving 100 times in my life so I should be fine ;)
