Knock knock... Who's there? It's Mike :)

Hey Mike, thanks for stopping by man ;) I'll be seeing you soon to see what type of t5 retro's I can pick up over there. Looking for a couple 36'' strips.

Insta-Reef! Whoa, you have a great setup now Scott, congrats on everything!

Kyle man, cool to hear from you! Thank you! So when is the reef bug going to come back to you??!!

Such a sweet setup Scott! Man I need to start stocking my 57 keep an eye out!

I'll definitely be checking out your page brother. Can't wait to see what you do with it, enjoy it, I am mine! ;)

wow!

I love the concept, and the design. Your follow thru is flawless. Subscribed!!

Thank you very much Pimpala! I'll be bringing updates periodically, Take Care ;)

It already has lol. With some money saved up from the job Dave got me, ive been slowly buying needed equipment over the past couple months. My GF and I moved to tallahasse, so now that we're settled in I think its okay to set something up. My job up here doesnt pay as well, so I need to be a little more responsible with getting things going.

I still cant get over how your system looks though! Its gorgeous, there couldnt have been half of that in the solana haha.

You'd be surprised how much I had crammed into that Solana!! I did go nuts buying corals once this system was almost ready. I had to bring buckets of corals to the lfs's and ask them to hold them for me!

Well I'm glad your getting a new system up again. Keep me updated, actually keep our club site updated.

Also had a few questions for you. What are you dosing? How often and your measurements? What salt do you use? If you could give me a small rundown of your regular maintenance that would be awesome and much appreciated! Thanks man!

I don't do much really.

Regular water changes (10-15%) every 2 weeks - Coralife Salt

Once a week if I remember to I feed atleast an hour after the lights shut off. I shut down my pumps and skimmer all night. (Except for one koralia)
(2 cubes of frozen cyclops, and about 1/2-3/4 capfull of roti-rich)

I feed the fish 3 times a day, it's a homemade recipe consisting of:
Oysters, shrimp, clams, mussels, fish, octopus, scallops, cyclops, mysid shrimp, brine shrimp, dried phytoplankton, selcon, garlic.. and a few other things I may have forgotten.

As far as dosing chemicals I don't really use them, I have them, but don't use them. I just dose 2 part for calcium and alk.

So the daily maintenance is just Cleaning the glass, Feed the fish, top off my freshwater..

Weekly is feeding the corals one night that week, leaving all the pumps (but one) off all night.

Bi-weekly is nothing but a water change and cleaning the socks and sponges with the waterchange.

Very simple!! ;) Take care buddy.

Nice work Scott, looks fantastic.

I can't wait to get water in my black seam illuminata, I hope it comes out half as nice as the half of your set up that is stocked :)

Amazing looking tank! I've subscribed--it is tanks like these that interested me in the hobby to begin with.

I Recieved my t5 retrofits and my BRS 2 part. We'll see how this 2 part holds up. I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I have high hopes.
