Scott's Pet Shop......Read and learn!

What is this supposed to accomplish? What are the odds someone at Scotts will read this?

If you don't like Scotts Pet Shop either

a. Don't go there.
b. Open your own store next door and see if you can do better.

He just make a point that good service the best way to go. I everone should know the typ of service you will get at that store.

I think the point of this is stated in the title. He's trying to point out how far customer service goes and is performed.

In the other thread people who have been there said that they might not have the best service but there are factors behind that (dealing in other pets, not just fish; an less than polite emplyee, etc...)

These posts slandering these stores are pointless. Why not mail a letter with your complaints to the store. You might get results that way.

There was another thread that was started by someone just mentioning that Scotts had some nice corals come in recently and it turned into this slanderfest.

Even jimmys post with the link to the liveaquaria post was a little out of bounds. Wait until you hear from the company before you
post in message boards trying to hurt their business. If they don't help you out you can give your opinion but take a breath and think before you type.

I work at a mail order company and trust me, there are plenty of steps along the way from when you enter your order and when it ships out. There are bound to be some errors (either human or computer).

Some people are not content unless every store in the area coddles them. Everyone knows what Scotts has to offer them, if it isnt enough then don't go there. We don't need a post whining about Scotts every week.

1. What is to be accomplished is to vent my fustration with a store that has provided me bad service in the past, it makes me feel better. Additionally, individuals new to the hobby have the opportunity to come here and get some feedback of other people's experiences.

2. Employees of Scott's do read this, they have responded to the forum before.

3. I don't go there anymore

4. No need to open my own store, Deep Reef and Rod have already demontrated how to run better business and I'm able to get all I need from them.

5. No need to write them a letter, I have spoken to them about my complaints in person and was provided the attituded of "too bad."

6. When I spend thousands on this hobby, you bet your sweet A** I expect to be coddled. I even expect them to sit up in bed with me afterward, have a cigarette and even talk (cab fare home wouldn't be bad either). I've had clients spend considerable less for my services, they expect to get coddled and they recieve it.

7. If you don't like the content of my thread Mr. 51 posts, then ignore it tough guy. If you want to be abrasive, feel free, I'm sure it will be encouraging to others when your trying to trade, sell, buy or just looking for assistance.

Wow. ...and it's friday, you would think people would be in a better mood.

Actually, the whole rip on Scott's thing is getting a bit old.

All I got out of this is they don't have a phone...LOL or something like that.

Edward says your an RN in your signature...your not Gaylord Focker in disguise are you ? j/k man

Wish I was, could of used his in-law's cash. Fiance wasn't too shabby either. Shoot, his folks aren't even so bad compared to mine.

I see where this thread started, but not too sure where it will end, but I do agree, this complaining about Scotts is getting old. Communication over the phone is getting better believe it or not, and the bad/rude employees have been fired, Scott is aware of the problems at hand is trying to fix them. Anything else?

I am going to drop this subject because I agree, it is getting very old. But it never fails that someone like yourself (an employee of Scott's) lights me up again about the attitude there. Read the tone and content of what you wrote above and compare it to the link that I listed in the beginning. When you ask "Anything else?" The answer is "yes." When I'm dissatisfied I'd like to be responded to in the manner as represented in the link. Your response only re-emphasizes my point.

Good-Bye
