Scotty & Tammy's 4x4x2 SPS tank

Scotty try with apogon leptachantus

I was looking at cardinals bibarassa. Yellowstriped Cardinalfish (Ostorhinchus cyanosoma) as a friend had some but I've decided just to stick with what I have at the moment mate :)

Thanks Scotty

Scott have you tried some chromis? They should shoal in a tank this big and they are quite pretty.

No I haven't buddy, a lot of my mates have them here and wanted to try something different that's why I went down that Anthias path :)

Best keep it as it is and see it grow:). How fast do your SPS grow?
Personally,i don't care how fast they grow...all i want to know is what in god's name, scott is doing and they grow so fast:p:p
Just kidding!

Tbh buddy i wouldn't replace them soon,either.
You are right, waiting for some time so you can monitor other fish,is a much better plan.
I hope that the problem will be only with the ones you lost.
And i wouldn't be sad to stay with the ones you have now, they are awesome.
Especially the gold rim:)

That's the plan Fishy :) growth in this tank has been pretty fast mate, I'm running out of room rather quickly!

I don't do anything out of the ordinary Mike as you know so I really can't explain why things are going so well, my biggest factor if anything would probably be stability TBH :D

Yea I'm liking the idea of letting the fish I have now grow, it's only been the anthias that I've had no luck with as all the others are extremely healthy. They are probably a little to healthy as they get spoilt too :lol spin:

I know buddy and i hope things will continue going so well for many many more years:)
One of the best reefs for sure!
Hey,do you ever think of upgrading?Corals are getting big in there scott:)

Lol about the spoilt fish!
Now that you mentioned it,my anthias has started epic battles too:(
But i have no males so they are probably, trying to find who will be the "playboy"(or maybe i'm wrong and they are just killing time :) )

Thanks buddy so do I :) one day yes we will upgrade mate we've already talked about size which would be a 7x4x2 peninsula. That's a long way off yet so for now I'm happy just to let it grow into an SPS jungle

I had a lot of bickering with the anthias mate even though they weren't all the same species but I also had males as well and they were the worst bullies. Sounds like to me that one your anthias is trying to assert it's dominance and then turn male :)

Yes it would Fishy :lolspin: we could go bigger but decided this would be a good size without being too imposing on the part of the house it's in. That won't be for a while yet anyways :)
No I don't think a tank that size would be imposing Scott;). You might have to don the bathers and jump in to do maintainence:lolspin:
