Scribbled Rabbitfish coloration?

I have a small Scribbled Rabbitfish, which I actually bought for its personality. Its a favorite in my tank, despite having somewhat lame coloration. It has very little of the famous blue lines on its body, only having them on its head and a bit along the dorsal edge.

I've read a bit about coloration in all fish in reference to feeding nutrition and vitamins. By feeding a vitamin-enriched diet, will this fish gain its best coloration, or will it remain mostly plain silver?

I am interested to hear some experts chime in on this subject. Will the colors just naturally come as it grows?

Not sure on how to get the best colouration out of them, but here is a pic of mine. I've had him for almost a year now. He gets fed a home made seafood mix and the occasional bit of nori.
