scuba certification in CT/NY

im lookin to mabye get certified in scuba. if anyone knows any places can they pls let me know. i am also interested in hearing about peoples favorite places to scuba dive. i really just wanna see some reefs up close in the wild.

Only dive shops I know are across the pond on Long Island. However, I'm sure a look through the yellow pages should find you a few local dive shops that you can go check out.

"the dive shop" is in brookfield CT. they have a pool onsite and everything. thats where i'm getting certified.

Do your final check out dive with a affiliated shop in the Caribbean that way you don't have to deal with the lousy diving condition in the NY area

There's some excellent diving in the NY area if you know where to look. I'm out diving most weekends through December in the local waters

check out scuba shack in rockyhill CT. Ed is the guy you wanna talk to there. He is a GUE instructor which speaks for itself! (Arguably) the best shop to go to in the CT area to learn how to REALLY dive!

you can try orbit marine in bridgeport on fairfield ave. Noel has been there for years and has 2 boats at capt cove( black rock)

another good reason to go to the dive shop in brookfield is because they have a 12ft deep pool where you learn to dive. really nice people also.
