The Dive shop

Where is the best place to get started? I live on the east side so location is not much of a factor. I saw the dive shop has their own pool and I think that is a huge advantage?

James, are you saying that there aren't many divers out in the middle of the desert? I was actually surprised when I moved out here and learned that there was a dive shop in Tucson. Scuba diving or at least snorkeling is on my bucket list.

That's my point exactly. Not what one would think when you picture the surrounding Sahuaros and tumbleweeds.

Mine too, the summer of 2016 I'm planning a Hawaii trip so I want to be able to dive before I get there. I visited two of the three shops and I think The Dive Shop is where I'm going to learn this summer with my oldest daughter.

I love Hawaii!! Where are you going? I have been to Oahu and Maui so far... More trips to Hawaii on the horizon!

I'm thinking big island so we can do volcano park and diving. Not for sure though. Want an all inclusive on the beach with two meals a day. I hate the "what are we eating thing every day!"

Thanks. I think the dive shop is my choice. I may ask later for beginner guided dive spots around San Diego so I can get some dives under my belt before Hawaii

Just don't go to Mexico! Haha... My family is from the San Carlos area and I hate it! Mexico is too corrupt for my liking

Maui is my favorite, I've done Maui, oahu, and kawaii. Big island has the manta night dive. San Diego wreck alley is saposed to be cool. Catalina depending on the time of year is amazing.

I agree on Maui... Mile marker 14 on Olowalu Beach and Molokini... AWESOME!!
Oahu has turtle beach and Hanauma Bay which are pretty sweet...

@scubabum- What time is it good to go to Catalina? I've heard that area is so polluted, is that true?
