New floating Canopy design

canopy4.jpg

Hi Scuzy, looks nice... Question, what was the software app that you used for the design pics you posted here?

Just a thought, tell me to shove it if you want, but instead of hanging the canopy, could you attach it to the wall with maybe a piano hinge? You could add a couple chains from the wall to the front edge to help support it. It would make a really clean presentation.

I'm still new to all this, but you should still be able to get in to do maintenance because of the hinges.

Maybe I'm out in left field, I just like the clean lines of your stand, and thought it might be doable.

I was thinking about that but there's weight of the light and canopy it is worrying me that it might fall down..

You could run a light weight cable or chain from 3/4 of the way out from the wall back to anchors in the wall. Basically, make a 45 degree triangle. For example if your canopy is 2' wide, install eye bolts 18" from the wall, then put the anchors in the wall 18" up from the top of the canopy. As long as you hit studs, it should carry it.

It may be more trouble than its worth, but it would be a very clean install.

Yes Trigger Systems Sumps are bad *** i have the 34" model under my 70 now this 39" is even more roomier.

high end price tag, but for a high end sump. Love seeing these sumps being used more often. Can't wait to see your finished product.

yeah i love these sumps. the compartments are thought out really well. I am going to start my wiring work tonight as i got my wire harnesses in from amazon.
