SCWD and gph

I have a 70 gallon reef tank that I will be connecting a SCWD for flow. My two options for pumps are a Mag 9.5 at 950 gph or an Iwaki pump rated at 650 gph.

Do you know if gph is the best indicator of what is best for use with the SCWD or does to type of pump also play a role? thanks

You want a pressure pump. A SCWD really kills a Mag9.5
