Does anyone use cucumbers?

Are they worth the risk of spilling their guts( want to use them sor DSB)?

If so what types do you have?

If not what types would ou recomend?:smokin:

i used to have one until it turned inside out. i had a Holothuria floridana (yellow tigertail). i would stick with the Holothuria family. these wont wipe out your tank if they die. alot of cucumbers will release toxins into the water that can wipe your entire tank out when they die or are attacked. Holothurias will release toxins but the are not toxic enough to wipe out a tank, they may kill a fish that eats the flesh however. they do a good job of cleaning the sand and i feel they are worth the risk :D.

I hade a yellow one that split into two cucumbers. They did not move much and have disappeared the last few months. They did not do much in my tank.

I had this guy, he was great at cleaning the sand, not sure what kind it is but was assured it would not release deadly toxins if it died.
