Sea Goblin's here!

the one at AW is definitely smaller than yours but it looks really nice, also prolly way cheaper than what you payed livequaria for one

Probably... How much is it, Nate?

I don't suppose they'd pair up and have ugly goblin babies. They'd probably eat each other, lol.

Actually about what I paid, just no shipping. I may wander over there. I have to go to Will's later and pick up my LA order (red carpet...drool....)

Good luck if you get the second, bit watch for fighting. From what I've read two males will fight, and there is no recorded captive breeding with these guys yet. You could be first though.

Everything mates in our tanks, lol. The 28G is like a spawning factory. Clowns, maxi-minis, pompom crabs, etc.

Eh, we'll see. I'll check it out.

Hey if you can do it all the more to you. I'll even take one or two to add to the one I have now. Looking for a mate anyway.

Lets see...scorp nuts, check...wife takes photos of fish, check...did we move to SD and nobody told us? :eek1:

At least that's what I was thinking when I read this post...too funny (if you haven't had any coffee yet!).

I think we said the same about you guys when we ran across the site. Too funny.

But it is really nice to have a wife thats as crazy about it as I am. Not hard to get approval on purchases. lol

Inorite? The trouble is that there's no longer anyone to say "Are you KIDDING??? If you get another tank/fish/etc, I'm LEAVING!!!" :lol2:

Decided that Aquatics having one was fate. They are feeling each other out right now. Chris is observing for aggression. So far the bigger one (the original) is stark white and showing his dominence by stepping on the smaller one, and following it around. No fighting... thus far. I'll post some pics after Trick or Treating.

Anyone have ANY idea on how to sex them? FMarini?

I'm thinking bad thoughts about you now getting a second. :spin2:

I don't know as if you can sex them, as I don't think it is known how yet. Do you have Franks book yet? I'm searching for mine now, it has some info on them too.

I suppose time will tell then. Or not. :)

All seems to be well so far. Here's few pics. New one on the left, very red. Old one on the right, displaying very light coloration in response to the new guy. or girl.

After more observation last night they both seem to have somewhat settled in. Our original was no longer following the new one around. I was not able to see if the coloration has returned to our original guy as he was buried. However, If either is displaying any coloration changes or is posturing I will assume and go with my gut that they will need to be seperated as they are stressed and more than likely males. And hope that sharing this information will help the community.

Some Observations:

  1. Initial coloration change in our original to a very light cream coloration
  2. No coloration or posturing by the new one
  3. Body posturing in our original as to assert dominance. Tail bent & positioned in front of the other
  4. No harmful aggression towards each other
  5. Initial following and posturing seems to have ceased (or they tired of it)
  6. Original still ate after settling in
  7. There is about a 2" size difference between the two the newest being smaller

Would be interesting to see how they do long term, but I would understand if you felt the need to separate.

Well things are looking good. Coloration of our first is normal again and there is no posturing. They are buried right next to each other as if all is right as rain.
