Sea Turtles

I'm currently in limbo, waiting for my new tank to cycle and it seems to be taking forever - I've gone down the ceramics/Dr Tim's route.

Anyhoo, I went on holiday recently to the Caribbean, did some snorkelling, my first SCUBA dive (40 foot) and some swimming with these lovely animals.

Pics are on a 200 quid P&S so the quality isn't amazing, it wasn't financially viable buying a D600 housing, I don't think I've of had the guts to submerse it either.

They used to sell newborn seaturtles in a large LFS In Manhattan for $50.00. That was in about 1971. I don't know how many people were stupid enough to buyone and I am glad it is outlawed now.

Thanks everyone, it was a great experience. They were so tame you could touch them.

You'd need a swimming pool of a tank to keep one, they were huuuge. Also they'd outlive you as well.
