the AF products beat up my lps too, chalice are really pale, no tissue loss yet. Algae went away after three day black out and addition of AF products. Maybe the mimic was keeping algae in check once it was beat down to where it belongs? If algae is growing out of control would leave me to believe there is another underlying issue?

I agree. Maybe the nitrates are that high. I'm sure the mimic was keeping things in check as well.

They are Genicanthus melanospilus.

Aquaforest products. I'm sure a lot of it is snake oil but a few of the products make some sense

Don't mind Eddie, he's stuck reefing in the 80s with his halides and love for kalk.....:lol2:
