sebae anemone dissappearing ?!?!

:wave:how can a subway sandwich size sebae anemone disappear? had it for a couple of months and it stayed in the same area, then the next day it moved 6" to the left. Then the following day after it was gone. So I searched the whole tank, checked the parameters all levels was at zero, it just vanished magically.

anyone have problems with anemones getting abducted by aliens?!?!?!

lol. Anemones are a major target for extraterrestrials, or so I've heard. In the event it wasn't abducted, have you checked under and behind all the live rock. Anemones can shrink to a very small size and "hide" between/under the rocks

Also if you have a overflow,check in there.

yes pretty much "everywhere" i just did an overhaul of the tank two days ago and ended up catching 2 gorilla crabs but no trace of that dammm anemone.

Back to the abduction theory. That must be frustrating. I can't imagine a relatively large sebae just disappearing from one day to the next. Let us know if it shows up again.

i will this is actually the 2nd time it happen the 1st time was a green carpet anemone it just started shrinking from a dinner plate to as small as a sauce plate.

it was like a 1.5" round base and then "poof" it was gone.
