Seio`s Multicontroller

I want to definitely get one, somebody will have to post is as soon as it is available for purchase. Hopefully, it will be affordable.

My brand new 1100 model locked up last week after my GFI tripped. Had to tap it a little to get it to restart. Very nice flow compared to my previous pair of Maxi's however...

I'm quite sure that since TAAM (the company that makes Rio and SEIO) have a great opportunity to make tons of money off people who refuse to buy or cannot stomach paying for what Tunze's cost. I honestly believe they'll offer as much customer support possible, if that means sending out new pumps to replace faulty. We as customers need to give them an opportunity to help us, because of the money we shell out (which i haven't even come as close to some of you have, newbie here:D) we deserve that customer support.

I know I may get blasted for this one, but I just wanted to give my 2 cents.

no blasting from me. :)

i love it when competition comes in a t a lower price point:D

those are 2 very shiney pennies:rollface:

This comes from the owner of 2 1100. I tend to agree with the frozen over sign above. You can't make a wavemaker for pumps that don't start worth a damn.

Does anyone have a link?

Depending how they are doing the cut back to 30%, whether they are actually using an inverter in the controller and controlling frequency and voltage this may be quite an item to have. But if they are only cutting voltage you would likely see a very reduced powerhead life. Be interesting to see what the wave form looks like that they are controlling the motos with. If it is actually sinusoidal and the frequency is lowered to around 30hZ the motors will not build up excessive heat, however, if they have a square wave form or if they are just cutting the voltage the motors will build heat and likely fail earlier then normal.

I have three 1100's and I hit or missed on all three. I am so tired of them. I don't understand why the restart issue but it is a major pain. If my power goes out I would be luck if one restarted.

I don't care how good the controller is, I will NEVER buy anything they make.

I've had a 1500 in my tank for just over a month-- I un plugged it once and it failed to restart when I plugged it in-- just unplugged and plugged it back in and it restarted the 2nd time--

A moot point since it won't be shutting the pump off--

WHere is the link??

WHat is the price??

I've had 820's since the beta days, and it still runs perfect. Never had a problem with it restarting. I'v even been using it in my rock cooking tubs the last few months without a problem.

I would like to see one of these controllers in action. Does anyone know if the two pumps must be of the same size (amp draw) or can they be different?

I love the hell frozen over sign - perfect for this thread. Everytime a thread like this comes up, I expect to hear about delays. Its nice to see an actual physical thing in the pictures (though I admit at first I was skeptical due to the lack of information).

I'm with other's here, TAAM has a lot to live up to with this, and the two pump limit kind of bites, however, in my mind, if the price is right, I think its something at least I can live with. Then again, we're only going to have a total of two pumps on the 150 that this would control anyways, so perhaps thats kind of moot for me :p

I read in this thread that 4 weeks is the estimated release time - perfect, finals will be over by then and I should have some $$$ saved up from work. I look forward to hearing some reviews on this product.

I've known people with problematic SEIOs with the 620, 820, 1100, and 1500 models. Seems like they're a hit or miss.

Please dont take this the wrong way, but whenever anything gets mentioned about Seios, there you are, chomping at the bit to reccomend the Maxi-mod. Yes, it is an amazing mod, I have one myself, however, this thread was created as an announcement of the Multicontroller, NOT a debate as to whether or not Seios or the Maxi Mod is better. And this isnt the first time either, it seems that whenever anything (good or bad) is said about the Seios, you jump down and pretty much tell everyone that the Maxi-mod is the way to go, which, if you have some DIY skills and DONT already have a Seio, is a good choice, however, many people already do have the Seios and it'd be pretty wasteful to attempt to sell the seio in order to change to the Maxi mod.

And where might that be?

Same here, I bought two 620s as soon as they hit the shelves and neither have given me trouble. I would like to upgrade to larger models and use the controller. I am curious about problems that others have though.

Two of the three prophesied signs have come true. The final sign is when the 1" threaded SCWD without huge flow restriction is released

I too have had the re-start issue on an 1100. Last week I had to take it apart and just put it back together and it worked. My 820s have been fine.

Well put tekknoschtev,

This post was only done to give you all a glimpse of the new controller thats it thought it would be NICE not a oppertunity to TRASH the manufacture!

I think there is already a SEIO pump trashing thread going.
I find thats its good that company`s come out with new products to give alternatives but I guess it looks like lots of people rather complain about things.

Only one?

Has TAAM made an official announcement about this? Or is all the info we have based upon what others have seen at the show? Some valid questions have been brought up, and I for one cannot wait to hear from them officially about how this will function under different conditions.

Thanks for posting this!

I can't think of one manufacture that has something like this that will work on any pump. Not bad IMO.

Funny how we always want more! :p

Cool that this is coming out. I just bought Tunze streams, (2 6000's) and a 7095 controller.

I was running SEIO 820's in my tank, and they NEVER gave me problems. Anytime I do a water change, (bi weekly) the pumps are shut off. They always restart. They're caked with corraline algae and haven't missed a beat, ever. I have nothing bad to say about SEIO's.

However, they'll likely never see the inside of my tank again. I'm not trying to compare the Tunze's I've got in there now, because they're a different animal. Obviously more flow. But, the quality in the streams, the controller, the pulsing effect, the night mode, the feeding timer, you name it.... it's just awesome.
It was a chunk of change to be sure, but you get what you pay for, that's always been my opinion.

Don't wanna start a TUNZE vs. SEIO debate here, but because I just put them in my tank, I can't believe how awesome they are.

Again, nothing bad to say about SEIO. Great flow, great price.
