Seio Super Flow Pumps

I have had mine since they first came out....about 2 years. And on a on/off 12 hour timer(not a wave maker). No problems at all. My Sps love em. They use little wattage and little heat transfer, strong current But not huge streams to blow corals too much. I have a 620 and two 820's in my lil 40g tank. I'm looking into the 1100's. Blue

I have a M620 and love it. I turn of the powerstrip it is plugged into 2-3 times a month for water changes and tank cleaning. I have never had a problem with it restarting when I turn the powerstrip back on. I just bought a 90g and will be buying 2 M1100's for that, which can also be used on SEIO's controller.

I never had any restart problems with my M820s. Good pumps, IMO. Some do have restart problems with them. I personally would avoid the koralias for now until they have been out on the market for longer. They are still working through the kinks of being a new product.

I have had 820's, 1100's and 1500's. The only complaint is that the 1100's seem to be harder starting than the others. My friend bought the hydor 4's and they are nice but the flow is really wide and has trouble pushing the length of his 125 gallon.

All said the seio is a nice option with the controller. My Tunzes will be here soon so I will be able to compare them as well. As my corals grow out i have had to keep ramping up the flow.

I have had both the 620 and 820's and I liked them. It seems the bigger the Seio, the more reliable they are. I had one of my 820's die and Taam replaced it (I used to live 10 minutes from them). IMO the big issue with them (like most powerheads) is you have to keep them clean. Performance drops way off when they start gunking up.

I am looking at the modded Maxijets for my current tank.

Thanks again all for your replies. I did end up getting a seio M2600 and it is a real water mover... very impressive. The LFS was out of stock on the 1100's so they gave me a deal on the bigger one.. I am happier with it than I think I would have been with the smaller one. So far, so good.
