Selective montipora and stylophora STN?

I had some issues with monti digis when I changed the flow regime. They seem to like moderate flow, and I had less PE when I turned the flow higher.
Do you use LEDs? I noticed that there is more shadowing effects when you use LEDs and that can cause some tissue necrosis in the areas that aren't well lit. I have had to move the corals around a bit so that they aren't subject to shadowing effects.

I've never noticed any substantial improvement when I've fed my corals (be it amino acids or any other kind of food supplement). But that's just me.

I do have LEDs - Ecotech Radions (Gen 2). The undersides do get some shadowing with the expected lack of tissue, but the necrotic areas are on the exposed sides, and in random locations (i.e. not at the base or tips, but on the middle of the stalk for example). The parts with tissue remaining have great PE and look otherwise normal.

I too have noticed no difference by feeding. I feed Rod's Food Original and suspect they get enough nutrition from that.

I should also point out that I am running ULNS by dosing NOPOX. Nitrates and phosphates are undetectable and I have a large chaeto ball in my sump.
