selling it all off....

:D Glad to hear.

Getting a setup upstairs may be the ticket.
Maybe keep some props in the basement.

Good luck Michael.

great michael!
And I second the tank being upstairs is important. I didn't enjoy my tank in the basement at all.

I am making specific "tank" time of 1-2 hrs a couple times a week. I will find a way to get some sort of small tank somewhere else in the house besides the basement.

"Tank Time" is a good idea. I should do that myself.

This basement vs upstairs argument sounds all too familiar. I'm happy my tanks are upstairs, but it would be nicer if my sump and equipment were also.

Wives, girlfriends, "us time" ( and not being "The Tank and I").....

EGADS ! Get outa my head !

yeah, we can all get soooooo deeply involved, that we forget other things, and spend hours puttering away.

But it is important to us and some family members need to respect that also.

I've heard the " You are always in the basement( or garage) working on (insert thing/ hobby/classic car here)... when are you going to spend time with me ?" ! a few hundred billion times.

Eventualy they get hobbies of their own, or drive us insane.

I've had both results ..... I think being insane is more fun though.

Me too, for over a year now, but I've been hanging on and surprisingly my tanks are doing pretty damn well. I can't tell you how many times I came so close to making one of these "selling it all" posts myself, but it's just too hard to give up on all the work I put into my system. There are some low times like when I'm tired or busy and something goes wrong that has to be fixed immediately and it seems like the last straw or when my Nimo bill exceeds $500, but I have to say that most of the time I am happy the tanks are still up.

Even though I don't have much time to spend staring at them, just walking by usually puts a smile on my face - even though sometimes it's hard to see through the glass that I've slacked on cleaning. :D And when I do get around to cleaning it, I'm always reminded of why I keep hanging on.

right on vin! me too ! been busy but tank keeps trucking on! i cant get away if i wanted too!!!!!!!
