Flameangel88 and SDguy - what other tankmates do you have your Semi's in with? And what size tank do you have them in?

Flameangel88 - Looks like you got everything in pairs. Very nice. Are there any aggression problems towards the Semi with any of your other fish?

SDGuy - What LFS do you frequent out in SD and where did you buy your Semi? I've only gone to Pet Kingdom and it's really a nice store.

I get my fish from everywhere. That particular fish came from SDAquariumRock.

Thanks. No aggression especially the semi is the second fish in after the flame angels.

I don't know if this was ever mentioned, but mine would eat the heck out of Nori. I didn't feed it that often because they would mow it down faster than my tang.

I'm basically suggesting to try and get some alage based type foods in their diet. I fed them Formula 2 also.

Maybe that will help with the growth & get these guys to the 10 year mark.

Btw, mine were always thick & fat.

I think it's important to have water conditions as if your keeping Sps...........back when I had mine I wasn't keeping the water pristine like in a reef.

Yes, some of the gut content studies show algae as eaten by some BF's.

Wow, I've never tried feeding nori. I'll definitely try this time around. I guess it'll also benefit my other fish, as well.

That's a 400G tank and the fish has been with us coming on 4 years now

Nope, I've just a four head air pump running 24/7 in the second chamber of my sump and super high flow in the tank.
