We've actually never planned food, every so often someone will bring something. We usually have a lot of food around Xmas time. It would be kinda nice to have something to snack on....not like I need it though.

That's one thing I always thought CTARS meetings were missing. Beer and grub! Huummmm......Someone should put some thought in that....... Not at LUTZ by any means though.

Oh! Ok. Well, alright then.
Every meeting of my old club was a potluck...no matter where we went so I tend to associate reef clubs with food. Hah hah.
I may not get to go after all anyway. I've got a ton of work to finish up and if I don't make a serious dent in it this morning, I'm not going to be able to go anywhere.

What an awesome meeting tonight! The turnout was pretty awesome and Eric (Icycoral) did a great job with the power point presentation on " Flow In Our Reef/Fish Tanks" and I ended up coming home with a brand new vortech mp10. I couldn't ask for a better night.

It was awesome seeing a packed house...we got some good ideas in store for the upcoming months that will trump tonight's meeting

I'm beat, however I have to say Icy, you did a bang up job on waterflow. Good stuff man!
I gotta say it wasn't the raffles that made this meeting a good one, it was the people. All the friends and reef talk made it a spectacular evening after Icy's presentation. It was wonderful to see a full house and to turn around and hear a new reef discussion. Nothing short of just plain cool.
Jas , your the man for this huge skimmer. I think it's fair to say that you can come shopping anytime but, I'm going to have to borrow your time to re-do my entire fishroom first!! lol!!
A thanks to Puppy Center and it's crew for the great deals today for our club. I came home today with a bag full of snails and a sweeeet baby's breath and wild favia and you know how much I love the wild corals
A great finish to my night was heading off to dinner to Corey's Catsup & Mustard and running into two fellow club reefers...mcpiii1124 and his mother. What a blast we had together! We laughed so hard that everyone in the bar was trying to figure why we were having such a good time about purple chickens. You had to be there.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes today. It truly was a good one.

I would like to give a very big thank you to Mike (big fish little pond) who did a ton of running around to get the raffle items as well as Jeff (hans1976) and Nichole (sassawrasse). Thank you to Dave (sweetd) for helping me write the outline for the presentation.
A big thank you and happy birthday to Chriskid and Missy for picking up the projector, bringing their laptop and helping me play the presentation. You guys are awesome. It's members like you who step up that make the club and meetings what they are.

Congrats to Bob and Hartford whaler who one the large raffle items.
And last but definitely not least thank you to everyone who came out to the lutz, and for not heckling me lol. I saw some nice trades going on and a skimmer that was almost as tall as me.
Expect some good meetings and topics this year as well as more nice raffle items.

Thank you to everyone that got this meeting put together. Great discussion by Icy on water movement and an excellent raffle.
For the most part meeting in the past few months were pretty spotty on attendance (typical for this time of year) But I wanted to point out to the BOD ( I'm sure you guys saw it too) that look what happens when you guys put a few sweet goods in the raffle. People were coming out of the wood work for a chance to win big in Sunday's raffle. After hearing Jeff's talk about the clubs finances and how good were doing theres no reason not to have a few big ticket items in the raffle every month. Ticket sales alone Sunday were more than enough to reimburse the clubs funds. Not too long ago there was a thread asking what the club wanted out of the meeting. A good raffle was one of the items mentioned. Couple that with more interactive discussions like Eric just did and I'd be willing to bet that meeting attendance would rise dramatically. Just my two pesos.
