September Meeting (food)

In keeping with routine, the meeting will be at my house on Saturday the 16th. I think 1pm is a good start time (if the game is on, we'll have it on except during the mtg) I'm researching lobster bisque recipes - 75% chance I'll fix that. I actually intended on doing a fish fry but got the lobster bisque idea stuck in my mind. If someone, or a couple people want to share in buying some tilapia or other fish I will heat up the deep fryer. That leads to other things you could bring and we'll fry it up fresh: hush-puppies/fritters, veggies, or what ever. I have a turkey fryer that will make short work of it but if it's raining that will mean using electric deep fryer (much more mess and time).

Lets try to get a head count by 13th.

Good lord Chris, I think you are just not getting your priorities straight...reef club comes BEFORE school and family.

Hey So I will be there. I'm not sure about Brent, but if he doesn't work, then he'll probably be there too. We could try to make some kind of bread to go with the soup. We're fairly decent at making dense breads to hold up to a good soup.

I suck so bad at anatomy...now if we are talking about microorganisms...I'm all over it...animal parts...nope...not a clue.

I should be able to make it if I can make the long drive.

I have no idea what goes with seafood, so I'll probably bring soft drinks and/or something sweet.

I got a man-mistake to confess. My anniversary is the weekend I volunteered for hosting the meeting! Darn my luck... 1:52odds I already have forgiveness to have the meeting on the 16th but I'd rather push it out till the 23rd. I push my luck with my tank issues and my wife already so unless we have a major objection and a new volunteer to host, I've gotta ask to push to the 23rd.

I think I would worry more about forgetting the anniversary than needing to reschedule a ETRC meeting.

Unless someone is dying to have the meeting at their house, I can see all of us at your house on the 23rd.

I will be there. Well, of course, I never know what my plans are, for sure, until I am told -- and if not told, or until I ask.

Turns out I am going out of town that day (more than likely) so I probably won't be able to go either. Dang!!

Turns out that I may be under home renovations (closing in the garage, replacing flooring in kitchen and baths, and covering brick fire place with other stone). I'm not bailing on hosting but expect to see a semi to big-mess.

Also, no bisque but I'll do a fish fry. No time to do a test run on the bisque.

Um I will be a no show. I bought tickets to the Disney Ice Show for my daughter. Sorry but this was not the 3rd Saturday of the month. Hope all is well in your little world.

So it's just Eddie, Scott and I? I know many people dont like to comit ahead of time so the general rule is normally 2-3 times as many who say they are coming. That means 4-6. That's fine with me. 16 is fine with me too. I'd just like to know if the bag of dolphin I have is enough or do I need to get more...?

And the house isnt a wreck with reconstruction, job got postponed. It may, however, be a wreck with Jordyn's toys though.
