hey everybody. I'm getting a fuge on thursday. Anybody have any chaeto they can spare, and maybe some pods to get it started.

thanks Ted. Anyone have any fuge "bugs" they can spare so I can jump start this bad boy. I know somebody must have a fuge thats over flowing with goodness. LOL

well I got my fuge yesterday. I got an aquafuge. I got the large one, from somebody on RC. Got a good deal. The only problem was.... The large aquafuge measures 24 1/2" and I have a biocube 29, which is only 19.8 inches wide. I was hoping to mount it on the side, but that wasn't going to happen with the size difference. So I had to put it on the pack. No big deal. I also had to do some plumbing to it seeing as how it was longer than my tank, and the lines were outside my tank dimensions. all in all it will work for now. I need to further modify the return line as it makes alot of noise, and splashes alot, and is now spilling into my return chamber kind of defeating the purpose of a HOB fuge. Unfortunatly it is a holiday, and i didn't know where to go to get a bulkhead today. I guess when i get one it shouldn't be too hard to drain a little water out, and put in the bulkhead so I can plumb it the way i want to. It wouldn't be so bad if you could buy plumbing parts to fit what was existing, but for some reason aquarium tubing is almost always not compatible with anything at Lowes, or Home Depot.

I wish I had my camera to post picks, but unfortunately it took a swim, when I was taking some top down pics. LOL. That was fun. It's funny that I was more concerned about the tank than the camera when it happened. My first thought was OHHHH SHIIIT. Theres copper in that thing, and mercury in the batteries, and lead, and..........What am I going to do....... LOL.
