Setting up a rock cliff with Tunze's

Hi,
I own a 60x20x24 (104 g) aquarium and i'm starting from scratch.
I have it up & running for 1 month (only Fiji LR in, no corals or fish yet) and I'd like some advice concerning water movement and waves.
I built a 22 inch in height "cliff" as in the figure below, with a lot of holes and crevices in order to have water circulation between the front and the rear of the tank.
I'm thinking of using the wavebox along with two 6000 streams (dunno if a controller would help too). I believe that much of the power of the streams will be held because of the rockwork just in front of them (4 inches space)
Do you have any suggestions for a better setup?

Raise the Streams above the rockwork, otherwise they will be virtually useless. I would use the controller 7095 for the Streams. I would also really consider reducing the amount of rock. Dense rock is a potential source of problems due to detritus accumulation and you can probably do very well with about 160lbs if you stack it more loosely.

I will lower down the rock "wall" and raise the streams as you suggested but I'm not reducing the amount of rock, just some rearrangement, creating more space inside the rockwork.
Is it ok if i put some rock under the wavebox?
Which controller should i pick? 7091 with Y adapter or 7095? I believe that 7095 co-operates with the wavebox too? Money is no concern to me as far as choosing the right equipment; it's far more expensive to buy something that is cheaper but useless in the long run.

I would go with the 7095, it is far more versatile than the 7091. Yes, you can put rock under the wavebox.

I've just ordered the 7095 controller, hope it will pay off.

Do you think that the streams or/and the wavebox should be switched off during night?

I have worries turning circulation down due to ozone running 24h through my skimmer (i use a redox unit). I also run a NitrateReductor (the inlet pipe needs water movement in the surroundings) and a UV lamp sterilizer (just in case ).

If i turn the 6000s off the only currents will be from the outlets of :
a) Eheim II 2027 wet/dry filter, (non continuous flow principal - thus no current)
b) Eheim III 2080 canister filter (worth mentioning current)
c) Eheim 2232 mechanical filter (not powerfull at all)
d) Aqualine 400g/h pump (goes through chiller and thus
looses power- reduced flow)
e) Aqualine 200g/h pump through UV (not any noticeable current)

I understand that i have to reduce flow during night in order to mimic natural reef conditions but I don't really know to what extent...

It is completely up to you, you can turn off night mode or set the night flow to be anything form 30-100%

i would love a wavebox, they just scare me now about how bad they are on the seals in the tank. do you have any pics of this sounds intresting.

Realistically- do you seriosly think you will have a tank for more than 15 years without upgrading? In my experience I have found used tanks are a rip off 4 out of 5 times, mainly because you usually compromised to save money over what you really wanted. If you buy a new tank and from a high quality manufacturer and set it up on a level surface I think the danger is no more than eating bacon, yeah it might kill you but odds are something else will first.

is not a tank rated for 15-20 years and the wavebox, cut that by 5-10%. not saying they are bad, but lots of people do buy used tanks, are we going to ask the owner if there has ever been a wavebox in there and then take a risk, i would love to have one right now. just pointing out something to think about.

My point is, anytime you buy a used tank you take a risk. He could have had it on a cinder block stand that was torqued or left it in the yard for 3-4 years. The wavebox would be way down my list of concerns having had used tanks leak within months of purchase I would never buy another used tank unless I knew the owner personally.

i understand what you are saying. there are alot of factors in a used tank. but sometimes people can not pass up the price on a used tank. i wish i allways could be a new tank for an upgrade. when i got my 180, it was 500, for tank stand and filtration. i could not pass that up..

My aquarium is a Juwel Rio 400 (made in Germany - 3 yr guarantee) with one of the highest levels of silicone bonding (performed by robotic-machinery) I've ever seen.
Furthermore, I built a wall surrounding (& supporting) my aquarium and its cabinet so as the only visible part in my living room is the front and side glasses. I have access to the whole aquarium when I'm in the kitchen side but i reassure you that my tank CAN'T move at all as it's practically enwalled...(it costed me 2000$ though )
As for the photos, I'll upload some as soon as I get my camera from work.

You can adjust the nightflow? Is that on the wavebox? I dont know how you do that on the wavebox>explain

That was in refernce to the Streams not the wavebox.
