Sexy Shrimp (From the "How Many Shrimp for a 46 GAl)

yeah, they were surprisingly large, that's why i freaked out when I saw them. they almost just looked like little strands of very fine thread, until I netted them and saw them wriggling around in the net! I can't really see the fuge I put them in, its kind of an all-in-one set up I did on a 20L, but I'm sure if some shrimp start popping up, I'll know where they came from.

What do the babies eat anyway? rotifers? or just live phyto? or both, phyto then rots?

They are actually very large. If you can isolate them in a small (5 gallon or so) tank with airline you have a fairly decent chance of getting afew to adulthood if you can keep the water quality up. They can actually eat bbs.

Are their young easy to take care of compared to peppermints which would be easy? I have alot of experience with baby peppermints. I raised them to almost two months and I probably could have done it alot longer until I fed them to my fish because cleaning their tank is extremely difficult and annoying.

But are sexy shrimp easy to raise? Has anyone ever bred them to adulthood succesfully? I'd be glad to give it a shot.

Still waiting for sexy Shrimp to come In stock at my lfs so I still have none. Ill try to get a pregnant female when they get them in stock. Are they aggressive to anemone shrimp? I have one, and two other ones that don't host anything (urocaridella).
