Sexy Shrimp

Anyone else keep sexies here? I just got my first two days ago and I'm totally in love with her - such a beautiful, charming little animal!!
Anyone feel like sharing pics, experience, advice??

I had two in a 37 mixed reef awhile back they were awesome to look at they were almost always out but they stole food from corals all the time and they ate zoa skirts (they never wiped out a colony but they killed a few heads)

I had three, but lost one in the tank upgrade. The two remaining are such fun, although lately they have chosen to stay fairly hidden in a Frogspawn and a Hammer. Sorry, never have been able to get a picture of them.

I've always steered clear of these shrimps because they might eat their host's flesh if hungry enough......

She stayed with the algae for a bit... now she's all over!

I was thinking of setting a 2.5 pico up for these guys. Have they been out in view much?

I only have one so far - but can't wait to get a whole group! She's just all over the place exploring things and wiggling about - you can even go a bit bigger and still have them be the focus. My tank is 7G shallow and the one shrimp is always easy to find.

I'm anticipating them stealing food - especially since I have a sun coral in there. Also..... she did already do a thorough check of the zoas I added last night. Going to keep an eye on that!

Eileen - did you every have any problems between the sexies and the porcelain or pom-pom crabs? I'm planing on getting at least the porcelain as well, and maybe a pom-pom too.

I'll keep an eye on the corals and feed the shrimps more if they start miss-behaving. Hopefully that'll do the trick!

I have a Pom Pom and a Porcelain. No problems so far. I've wondered if a Pistol would prey on the Sexies.

I also got this beautiful porcelain crab!

Not such a great pic, but the crab is in the shade right now and it doesn't come out well.

lol - I hemmed and hawed for about 30 min today at CF for that same reason - until Milly finally just got out her inverts book and showed me pictures. I'm glad someone else had the same reaction
It's definitely filter feeding now also - with the little legs with those cool fans.

Although.... despite the picture in the book, and the fact that Milly picked it up with her hands, I didn't touch it putting it into the tank. Claws are claws after all

Okay - just did some more googling. It's a purple zebra porcelain crab. Pretty cool really. The underside is purpleish/redish and mouthparts are blue.

I loved the Sexy Shrimp that I used to have. Just watch out as they tend to get sucked into overflows.

I can also confirm that crab is indeed a porcelain crab. I had one just like that and it never hurt a thing. Any idea if they have any more in that color?
