Can I still come? :)

Can I still come? :)

I just noticed this thread. I'd love to come along if still possible, and I have a nice mature tank in Noe Valley if you have any more time to view. I have frags to get rid of so we could stop at my place last.

You can definately come on the tank tour..... I will have to check on the Steinhart tour. I had a limit on 15 people. We can use your tank as a backup incase womeone drops out or we finish early. How is that?

sdharrington, I still haven't heard back from Peter about the Steinhart, but I am thinking it will be ok. Please send me a PM with your contact info.

Update from Peter...... still waiting on the 16th for sdharrington spot.

Hey everyone, looking forward to seeing you at the Steinhart on the 11th.
Sorry I will miss the tank tour this time around, but hope to see all your tanks at some point soon! Apon, sorry I haven't responded until now, I only received notification of your most recent PM for some reason.

I'm also trying to set up a hand feeding of the 150lb giant sea bass and moray eels : ) Can't promise anything, but I'll try. We'll have to split the group up if my buddy is available to feed them.

As Apon suggested, let's meet in the lobby at the Academy at 4:00. You don't have to enter the aquarium prior to that and pay the $7, but it might be nice to see the actual tanks so you know what the 15 foot skimmers are working on! There are also some pretty cool tanks and exhibits. The Penguins are fed daily at 3:30.

Thanks to Apon for organizing this!

Best, Peter

FYI - I will PM everyone with the starting address on Wednesday, if you can't come anymore, please let me know.

Out of curiosity, why not PM all addresses? Since it seems after me there's a large break so caravaning to the next place doesn't seem terribly efficient. Not to mention this is San Francisco, you don't expect every car to make every light do you?? :)

That'll work. Just everyone should know that i am NOT a coffee drinker, so if you're dead tired and need coffee better get some on the lunch break :)

Apon, I will not be joining the tank tour but will join you guys at the steinhart.

I'll see you guys at 4:00 on saturday. Looking forward to meet you.

FYI - PM's have been sent out with info. Please let me know if I missed anyone. See you all Sat.

ok, I am already bringing the following xenia to the tank tour :

Raddogz - elongata
Apon - elongata
Psionicdragon - pom pom (but I am really reluctant on this one. The last one I fragged, the pom pom did not do so good, The elongata did just fine though).

Are you sure you want pom pom and only pom pom xenia psionic ?

I also have the following 2 acros that I can bring (that I am trying to get rid of to reclaim the space in the prop tank). I have seen them called green polyped staghorn, unknwon acro, and I think they also match a picture I saw of a. micronapthea (sp?). Either way, my picture taking skills suck today for some reason (the camera was just majorly rebelling). Plus both were lacking PE as they were upset at my moving them around to get a better/clearer picture of them (like that actually worked :rolleye1: )

This larger piece for $20

and this smaller (but still lots of branches) piece for $15

Both in the pictures were lacking PE as they were upset at my moving them around to get a better/clearer picture of them (like that actually worked )

Here is a relatively recent picture of the parent colony :

While I have been battling AEFWs, this coral has never shown any signs of infection, and we planned to dip it the dayt before, but obviously strenuously advocate dipping everything.

The prices are OBO, of course :)

Sparkss, Psionicdragon,

I can bring a small frag of pom pom if that would work out better for you guys. It was fragged and mounted many weeks ago. Should do fine.

If there are any people that want to do zoa trades, lmk! :)

I don't think Psionicdragon is on the list......check with Eileen who is picking up for him....I think.

Allergies abound

Allergies abound

As you know Spring is right around the corner, and allergies are ever present.

I just wanted to advise people that are doing the tank tour and who are very allergy sensitive you may wish to take whatever allergy meds you normally take before you come over to my house.

Here's the reason(s) - Acacia's are all over my neighborhood (non-issue if it rains that day), I have a long-haired dog (yes, she is well-behaved), and to top it off I have cockatiels (who nicely spread a nice thin layer of dust over everything).

Hey Tom,

Don't worry too much about it. I don't want you to lose your colony because of me. If you get some in the near future, I can pick some up then :)

Ok time to sleep...so tired
