Shaking up a coral QT

I understand that when you have a fish in QT and add another, the countdown must start again. Whatneeds to be done if you findanother nice one 2weeks after you started the first QT?
Does that same rule apply to coral? Wow, if that is the case, that's a bunch of tanks sitting around

Your QT time starts when you add the last live stock. Any time something spent in QT is negated once a new specimen is add.

One last clarification please. So does livestock include all life? Corals and fish?
That also applies to corals in a coral QT?:blown:
 
Most people don't QT corals. Many dip them and then put them in a tank. Some just do an inspection and then put them in a tank.

Sorry I just got back to this thread.

Yes, it includes anything that goes from someone else's tank to mine. I do QT my corals. I have found aptasia, zoa eating nudi ( +eggs) and bubble algae on coral frags. Same goes for live rock, they can have all kinds of nasties. I may be a little over protective but after you have to battle crap in your DT you will wish you took the short period of time to QT everything.
