Share your Radion Graph!

This thread is a little old now for G2 graphs. Does anyone have a proven G2 graph that they can show growth over a period of time? I just got my lights hung and after a acclimation period wanna see what this can do.

Any takers?

Is anyone running the 20k preset graph on there Sps tanks? How does the color of the spa hold up? I know growth istnt as fast but looking more for color.

I would also like to know about the 20k preset.I'm running the radiant color preset on two gen 2's with the top end modified to 20k.

(3) Radions Gen3 over 125g (6')

(3) Radions Gen3 over 125g (6')

Tank Size/Dimensions: 72" x 18" x 22"

Start Day/Start Night: 0630-1800

What are you keeping: Mixed, with MANY SPS frags

Other useful information: Lights are 8.5" above water level.

I've had these on my tank for a week now. Been looking for others with Gen3's on their tank for an example of intensities. I started the tank on 20% for the first week and just bumped them up 5% on all levels.

Anyone recommend a MAX intensity for my tank dimensions. Most all frags are 12-16" off the sand floor.

Just bought radions for my shallow reef tank. Not sure on what intensity to run them or height. I have a 80 gallon rimless deep blue. 48x24x16. Its either 16 or 18 height. Can anyone help me. Pm me please

Just finished programming my lights. I did a custom program that basically ramps up from Deep Blue all the way to 12K and back down. The Radiant program looks wonderful, but it seems like it would be too blue for SPS corals. I do like the blues, but want to get a balance. Basically my program is as follows:

Deep Blue 50%
DB 100%
20K 100%
18K 100%
14K 100%
12K 85%
14K 100%
18K 100%
20K 100%
DB 100%
DB 50%
DB 3% (moon light)

I'm going to start my overall intensity at around 35% and ramp up from there. I figure I'll max out at 60-65%. This is 3 Pros over a 19" deep tank, clustered closely together. Its overkill, but I like that.

My idea is to balance out the full spectrum with blue, very similar to what I'm currently doing with a 20K Radium and Kessil 20Ks but having a smoother transition. I decreased the 12K to 85% to smooth out the relative intensity curve, that way when I increase overall brightness, I don't fry everything. I figure about 1/3 of my lighting period will be in the DB range (which I like), but the other 2/3 will be full spectrum or a version of it more geared towards growth. I am probably overthinking this but thought I'd post here for some thoughts and or constructive criticism. Thanks!

Holy god this this thread is long.. I'm looking for a good graph for my tank... its a 29g tank, I have just one radion, I'm using a graph I found online that has a reduced intensity, but I'd like to try and get one for my tank which is has a lot of Zoas, I have a two torches, a frogspam, some acans and a goni...The goni's in a shaded part of the tank, but I can't really figure out a good setup for the lighting to make the colors pop and keep growth with them.

Hi,

I saw a graph that you was showing it looked interesting, can you e-mail it to me.. Does it still work good for you. I got 2-g2 + 1-g3

Kind Regards

im in the exact same boat. did you find something that is working for you. can you upload you schedule that you are using now. I have the same setup as you with corals about the same to. Thanks

just got my radion xr30w and im really excited about it! been messing around with settings all day but still not 100% happy...any recommendation? using on a coral only IM Nuvo 30. Thanks!

Tradewinds,

I've been looking for a new program and think I might give yours a try, especially after seeing the pictures in your album. They are beautiful.

One question - why do you start out with all colors at 100%?

Thanks

Basically just to start my day off with a little more color, but note, that the brightness is only 20%.

Anyone have a graph that they would be willing to share? I currently have zoa's and am looking for something that will allow for good growth with some nice blues at night to see the colors pop. I have tried some options on my own but honestly have no clue what I am doing. Thanks!

Been messing around with settings, started with cakemanPA and now I switched to Tradewinds and I tweaked it to my own likings...been using it for couple days and so far, Corals have responded well!

Hi Sir,

Unfortunately I'm not able to send PM's because I only have a couple of posts here in the Forum, I'm from Portugal and kinly like to request if it possible to share your light settings of your Radions? I just received my Radions and would like to try someting diferent from the Ecotech pre-settings they have.

Best Regards
Pedro

Is there any conclusion or close to it which of all these schedules are "the best". After reading through the thread it seems like there is a lot of different versions of the same one.

I don't think that there is a best of the best because each tank is different...really just pick one and try it out or pick one and have that as a starting point to mess around with...that's what I did and now my corals have grown a lot!

I agree. Everyone's tank is different -- scape, inhabitants, depth & location (shaded or not) where each is placed and almost none of that important detail is reflected in "the graphs" people contribute. What I did was look for general patterns of intensity, durations, etc and come up with a starting point for my own version that I know I'll continue to tweak for some time.
