Hi,

I've been running two Gen 3 Radion's over my 90 Gallon for about a year now. Everything is doing great. From SPS to Zoas. I kind of winged my programming. Was wondering if this looks optimal. Questions I have are: Do I not have enough peak light, or is my ramp up or down too long or two quick. Any feedback would be great

Good Morning:
My TCW is that your Peak Lighting may be way to High. I see 100% peak intensity but without looking at the individual colors it is hard to say. If I was ever to add a SPS coral to this Tank right Now, it would have to be at the bottom of the Tank and Slowly move it up over several weeks. Send a Picture of the tank under these lights at full intensity if you can, this will help out quite a bit in the determination of lighting requirements. As to the graph itself, looks like a great time period. Bruce

I'm so lost on configuration still. I am running radiant color still, instead of 12 hours, I am now doing 9 hours... At 65% max peak... The top most SPS in my tank looks great... (green slimer) but not much polyp extension, the next SPS down is a purple birdnest, the top of the body is neon green like it should be, but the undersides and sides are white.... the polyps are a nice purple, my monti caps are a nice pink,,, the green monti cap is a pale green... My other purple acro with green tips is purple, but losing green in its tips, they look faded. Not sure if I need to up my instensity a bit more or what... This sure is a game...

I went with a tweaked stock setting of radiant color, turned down the whites to 25%,my intensity is up to 80 with moon lights thru the night.I have a 60 cube with 2 mp10's (one on the back and one on the side)my tank is I'd say 90%sps and I too had the same problem as others with the whites bleaching my corals (my chalices suffered the most)I have the RMS holding the light from the back rim which gives my I think a foot off the waterline...either way I set up these settings 2 months back and Im seeing a dramatic difference in all the colors of my corals..I hope this helps if you need anymore information let me know ..I'll upload the graph if you want:)

What do you have your uv leds set at?

Just picked up a Gen 2 and have been playing around with it. So many different schedules posted up its overwhelming. Can anyone point me to a schedule to use over my 60 gallon cube with 90% zoa's?
Would love something that gives great growth, while really showing off the fluorescent beauty of the zoas in the evenings.

Lookin' for guidance

So I just got two Radion pro's for my 145 penninsula (60l-20w-30h).

I'm already running four 54w T5's (two D-D 15k, two D-D Aquapink). Thinking of changing the 15k to full actinic.

This is the graph I started using.

T5's come on the points either side of the peak (4 hours).

Is this enough? I've cut down the whites quite a bit (peak 15%) but kept the other colors thinking I get lots of white from the T5's.

Thanks!

Hi all, I've been active in this thread for a while.. I have tried numerous tweaks etc... I had a lot of issues starting out... Majority of my SPS appeared to be bleaching/losing color. I was very frustrated and had so many problems dialing in these lights just right. I really enjoyed the radiant color ramp schedule and my personal taste enjoyed it as well. I tweaked it a little bit. Little bit less red, and green. Also the whites are turned down now (this helped a lot) I run my Radion at 80% now... I've been at 70 for the past two months with great success, but the extra 10% is helping even more now.

I get my frags from a LFS with a superior selection of coral which is under Radion G2 Pros...

I am sharing my graph for those interested. The download link is below. (attached)

Tank Specs:
93 Rimless Cube
Radion G3 Pro XR30W
Dimensions 30x30x24
Light is on RMS

Here is my build thread, last few pages are all pictures from this graph... :) I have a lot of SPS and have super growth within a two month span. I am very impressed! Cheers!

Thanks a lot for sharing your graph buddy , do you think its going to work as well in a XR 30w ? Mine is not a pro ... Probably it will... just want your thought on it...

Hey I was wondering if anyone had a tank similar to mine. It's a 29 gallon with a few sps lps clams and mushrooms. My old t5 broke down last year and I replaced it with a gen 2 radion in March. After playing around with the settings and seeing some growth over the last few months I'm curious to see if anyone has different settings with better results.
Just in case my light is hanging 9" above the water. The tank is 15" to the sand bed from the surface. Tank you very much in advance for Ur response.
