Shark ID help needed

alprazo is correct - from the photos, based on the convex dorsal fin and the claspers, this fish is a male C. griseum. That's a good thing, because I've seen female C. punctatum grow to over 55" long!

However, I'd skip the chloroquine, (no evidence of protozoan disease, and this drug has system-wide side effects) but I would treat the shark with praziquantel.

dumb question but how do you treat the shark with meds? Orally or dose the tank?

Either would work, but oral meds would require that you know the weight of the shark, and then you would have to dose the food with very small amounts - tricky to do.

Probably the easiest thing for you to do would be to buy some Prazipro and dose the tank according to the label directions.

Sounds like this is like melafix. It doesn't say but I'm guessing you turn the skimmer off for the treatment
