sharks

yes thats a problem . Even if you run no heater in your system . your not going to be able to keep your water temp that low consistantly with out the use of a chiller . running a system for a cold water species at a higher temp speeds up the growth rate and causes problems in the long run .

To be honest in a 150 . I would forget about a shark . I know thats a lame idea. You could do a trigger tank . Some triggers are far more aggressive than any small bottom dwelling shark . More active and more atractive . You might want to think about that when making your decisions .

I'm not trying to talk you out of it , just trying to offer another option .

i dont feel a 150 is enough for any shark.
if that was size i was stuck on i would be doing a big trigger or aggresive eel

I dont understand your reasoning. You siad that in the winter the tank would stay that cold, well what about the other 6 months of the year? I really think you should spend a little more time researching sharks before you get one. I understand the desire to have one, but you want to be able to keep it alive and happy right? Read a few books then decide for your self what kind of shark and what kind of tank you want and need. Then you wont have to hear people give you the answers you dont want to hear. JMO

dont have to be rude guys what do you think im doing????? REASEARCING i wouldnt be getting anyhting for that tank for about a year or more

p.s. if you dont like this topic just dont post

Well I would like to post. It is up to the decision of the aquarist to decide what, when and how to do something. The point of a forum is to share ideas and learn from others. Of course you cannot get through life without making a mistake. Hopefully you have understood my post.
