Shelby's reef

You should work on some patents and market your craftsmanship. Unbelievable. I taught myself basic PVC plumbing but you have taken basic plastic technique up at least several logarithms in improvement! Pop some champagne!
Wow thank you very much, I'm still learning how to do great acrylic joints. I can't take credit for the reactor design, I've seen pictures of a horizontal reactor online and created my own version, I did finish it and it works great, I scraped the belt idea and made it gear drive, I will post some pics of it

With your attention to detail, it's easy to see your livestock will be taken care of very well. This will be a fun one to follow.

Do you have a diagram of your flow leaving the tank, going into the sump, flowing across to the 40 gal refgium, and finally returning to the tank?

If it's not too much trouble I would be interested in seeing more photos of your sump design.

Thank you, you are very right I am very attentive to making my livestock happy, I figure if they are in captivity under my care with no other option for health then I must do all I can to provide a pristine environment for them.

Iam running the majority of the flow from the 220 through the 40 then the sump so the corals in the 40 get the same stuff the DT gets, I'll get some more pics for you:beachbum:

I finished the light unit, it just needs the led modules from my 110, happy with how it turned out, I used acrylic mirror, so it disappears in the room and looks weightless

It still amazes me the level of craftsmanship from our fellow RC friends. This is the beginning of a great built! I wish I had even a fraction of the acrylic skills and knowledge you are implementing.

everything looks incredible, love hat light
Thank you phinfan, I'm loving it too

Thanks Will, I agree, I've learned so much from this forum too and like to share what I've done so it might help others, the main goal is to be successful in a challenging hobby.

VERY nice!! Who made it? Love the size. Almost the same as the tank I've ordered so nice to see yours sitting on its stand, but makes me more anxious to get mine. ;)

Concept aquatics from Calgary made it, I'm very happy with it. I was surprised how big it is even though I had the stand already made, these dimensions will allow some nice interesting rockwork and my fish are going to love me:inlove:
When are you getting yours?
