i just found about 20 pyramid snails on two of my clams a 2.5" deresa and a 5" squamosa. should i be worried that they will die? i will order a 6 line wrasse on moday from live aquaria or other place. i really love these clams and dont want them to die. i pick off as many as i could see and scrubed the shells and the shells that the are attached to with a nylon brush. PLZ help me.

yes you should. the only way to get rid of them is for you to remove them. a wrasse will only control them at best. Pyrams feed at night, wrasses sleep at night.

3 times a week take the clams out(about 1 hour after lights out)and brush the shells with a toothbrush, the whole shell to remove any egg sacks.
do this for a month or 2 even if you dont find any snails.
then check them at least once a week for a few more months
