Should I get a mated pair?

I would love to have 2 golden striped maroon clowns. I am not looking to breed but should I get a mated pair to be the safest way? Also if they do spawn and I do nothing will the eggs continue to hatch or would they most likely perish, I don't need babies in the DT.

Thanks all.

Dont spend the money one a mated pair. Just buy bonded or select. If they do eventually spawn they will get eaten by other fish in the tank including the clownfish.

I would just go and pick a really large (female) and a really small one (male) and you will get a pair. In the beginning, if you notice any aggression from the female towards the male, you can separate the tank with some eggcrate where the male fits through. That way he can take shelter. Though the pairs I put together got along well from the start.

The best way to pair a Maroon clown is to put the smaller one in a enclosure and float him tin the tank for several weeks. Once the female get used to him, you can let him out.
