Show fish for 90gal

Hey,

I am setting up a 90gal tank (36w x 30d x 20h) and wanted opinions on what would be a good certerpiece fish. I really want to get a lionfish, but figure they'll eat the shrimp and smaller fish. Here are some of the fish i was thinking of getting.

- flame angel / potters angel (not sure which one
- bi-color blenny
- pair banggai cardinals
- manderine (eventually)

not too sure after that. Really want some unique fish as this is the biggest tank i have had yet.. by quite a bit (30is gallons before).. thanks!!

A full grown flame angel would be an awesome centerpiece fish (just some some HUGE specimens at a LFS). Maybe a couple of fairy wrasses (tons to choose from). I think marine bettas are pretty cool (might eat small shrimp though).

the potters or flame are great fish to have. no clowns?

oh yah, forgot the clowns!! I'd like to get a different anemone than a BTA for them too, i was thinking a Ritteri, but figure that it might get in the weay of corals etc.

A Potter's or flame would be nice, any of the small to medium sized angels would make a great showpiece for a 90. I have a flagfin, he's beautiful and very interactive, he's the star of the show in my 65g (he'll very likely get a larger tank when he starts to get bigger, he's only 2" ATM). Like Potter's angels it's hard to find a healthy flagfin, but if you can get your hands on a well collected fish that's adapting to captivity, they're beautiful and hardy fish.

think it'd be possible to have a flame + potters? Given that this is going to be sps (mostley) tank, and i'd eventually like to add a clam or to. Kind of a crap shoot eh?

The flame and potter's may pick (especially clams), but if you have 90 gallons try a juvenile navarchus. By the time it grows up you may be ready for an upgrade and if not give it to a friend.

Thats a pretty good list, a dwarf angel would be a good centerpiece fish. Could do a Tang I suppose, maybe a cool Ctenochaetus species (dwarf tangs). If you could deal with a bigger angel, those Genicanthus seem to have a pretty solid reputation in Reef tanks. Hawks are awesome in SPS tanks (IMO) if you keep them clear of shrimp.

Go with the flame. It is easier to keep than the potters.
If you start with a healthy Potter's, you should not really have trouble with it -- only buy from someone you can trust to make sure it was properly collected

One big problem with Potter's is that they are so often irreversibly damaged by the time we get them
