Both the acro's are at the top of the tank under 4 t5's and a 250w Radium Blue bulb and they're loving it as much as I am :D

Red and gold milli with blue growth tips

What I have dubbed the Firetruck Acro

Wow that Firetruck is nucking futz. Please excuse my language, but wow!
haha language excused, it's definitely one of my favourite pieces in the tank and you can see why! Usually the base is green but some vermitids decided they'd rather it was dead and black :( I'm hoping now that they're gone it bounces back :)

Wrangy - dang both of those Acros are AMAZING!!!
Thank you Myka :)

I have a couple corals that are close to red..

That's about as close to red as I'm getting right now.. All no names..

How is that even right btw, I see the other coral near by. Jason Fox would sell that as Diablo something or another at $500 a nub :furious:

That's going to change. Lots of new options coming in from Australia in the next year.

I've only had this one 2 weeks and it's starting to color up nicely. More pink than red but it's just a matter of time.

I don't know if I've ever seen an sps that is truly red with my own eyes. I've seen lots of sps that are called red, but they all seem to be pink or orange. True red appears to be a rare color to begin with.

Ooooh that's some serious high res. Love it!
What's the tech behind that shot?

Actually that's a really soft image. I'll take another this weekend and turn off some pumps. That's with about 2K GPH going over it.

Canon 7D with Canon 180 Macro 1/250 @ F/11 and Custom white balance.

My shot is color accurate but not that red, yet.

BigE's are shot under ATI Blue Plus and Coral Plus, if my memory serves me correctly and I'm sure that's very close to what you'd see in person.

Red corals are not common but are out there. They tend to be deeper water corals.
