Show me your 20k Radium tanks?

I think 4 Giesemann PureActinic bulbs with the 2 250's would look great. Its what I run, but, in half. I have a single Radium on a PFO ballast with 2 x Giesemann T5's.

I'm currently running a 250w mh w/ Phoenix 14k over my 40 breeder that is all SPS top to bottom, left to right... (40+ frags / colonies).

I'm thinking about switching to 2x's 150w mh for a better light spread over the tank. What do you guys think about this kit from aquacave http://www.aquacave.com/galaxy-dual-150wbr-double-ended-hqibr-metal-halide-retro-kit-2137.html? I would be running it w/ radiums.

That's a fine kit for a 40 breeder... Those reflectors are far from ideal, but for a 36" x 18" tank, two of them would be just fine... Are you going to go with the 150W Phoenix's too...?

so are the galaxy ballasts you guys talk about the ones they sell on ebay and are green?

Yeah, Adrian, green housing, marketed by Sunlight Supply (made in Germany, though, I believe)...

Would it be worth it to switch over to VHO or is there a nice combo of four 24w t5 bulbs that would give the radiums an awesome look?

Consider 1 x ATI Pro Color, and 3 x UVL Super Actinics... Great supplements for the Radium... If you don't have many pink-magenta-purple-red corals, skip the Pro Color and go with either 2 x Blue+ or G-mann Actinic+, and 2 x UVL Super Actinic. Or the classic, if the Radium is blue enough for you as is, would be 4 x UVL Super Actinic...

Todd Rocks! I just wanted to say that on the boards. He has been very helpful to me with my lighting issues and I would be lost without his knowledge. THanks for all your help and efforts Todd!

Nah, I'm currently using a phoenix in my 250w mh that I've had over the tank for about a year and a half. The 250 isn't bad, but I'm wanting a more even spread, that's why I'm thinking about switching to dual 150's.

From what I've gathered the radiums are hard to beat if you're looking for great coloration from SPS.

Todd you should get a job with Radium!
