What reflector would you guys suggest - my cube is 30L X 30W X18H - Sunlight Ssupply hqi ballast and 250 w Radium.

Would the Lumnen mag elite be too much light spill for 30 X 30 ?

I have a canopy, are these easy to install, thing is, I have 10" from the top of my canopy to the water, too close?

Thanks, looks really good, how high would the reflector be from the water, didn't really notice any major light spill, tank looks great.

Does anyone know what a 150w DE radium would look like? Sorry, have never seen them and want to try them. They would be run on an Icecap ballast and have heard that holds them back a bit. But I could supplement them with VHO's if needed.

Yeah, that should be at least 12 months, Nick. I really like those AquaMedic M80's. I think they might even burn the bulbs brighter than the PFO's. Great ballasts...!

So reeferpnoy, in your posted pics of your Acan cube, that is a 400W Radium on the Lumatek ballast in a Lumenarc III...?

ya i have 3 of them lil noisy but nice ballasts nonetheless, cant wait to see my tank with better spread.

hey lumenarc users should i get lumenarc mini or full sized? my tank is 48"x27x14"


i need the best spread possible but will the full sized lumenarcs be too large?

Nick, if you are going to run 2 bulbs, I'd go with lumenarc minis or lumenbright minis.....

how are those lumatek ballasts? Heat, vibration, and general output...any comments? Wondering if they are safe, reliable, and have the same flexibility as Icecap for example.

Nick, are your ballasts the newer ones with the square black housing with the fan on top, made in the USA, or the older ones from China in a silver rectangler housing? I had the older ones from China that they were shipping with the Oceanlights...

The silver ones, came with oceanlights, I also have an older silver one wit a fan.
