no it wasnt it was taken directly below a 250W Radium, it looks like that in person, ive seen the coral.

and i had an aquadelight in my old tank direct from Greg Hiller and it was nothing like the pearlberry.

they are both delicate skinned.

thanks. Sound like I need to add pearberry to my collection.

I have thought the Tub's jade and the AD looked like the same or a very similar coral for some time now. This is just from a couple of locals that have both but I'm interested to see what others think.

I have both the Pinkjade and the AquaDelight and I was just told they are the same coral, so I am curious if this is true to.

Nice Pieces either way everyone!!!

i think the pink jade stoddarti (from OYT i think... and possibly mid-ID'd as stoddarti) is easily confused w/ the aquadelight as a frag/small colony, but they differ as they mature

when people sell/trade frags of frags of these i think it where the mix up has come in

i think the aquadelight gets a more clustered axial coralite look than the the pink jade

i also think these can have a variety of color and structural morphs in various environments leading to even more confusion

i've had both, but its been a while... if i still had both i'd try to dissect them a little more... i have some pics ... not many for some reason... i find the tiny frag pics.... after that, it got the "blistering" disease pics... and after that i cant remember... but anyway... you can look at OYTs jade at tyree's site

either way... nice corals
here is my AD shot from my frag tank... you can see that "clustered tip" i was trying explain.. its forming in the branch closest to the rainbow.. its also seen on some of the shots in this thread

ok well since this thread is about this coral maybe you can help. I have one that has grown great! It is under a 250 14K phoenix DE. it is brown :) the new tips always grow out with great color and then turn brown? all my other corals have great color. I have it right next to my shades of fall and that has great color.

my Question is why would it grow with color then brown out. over and over again? I wish my camera was working :(

I also get the C-Aquarium Unknown embarrassingly mixed up as well with these on good days.
