I love this symbiotic relationship.. probably the main reason I got into the hobby, and still love BTAs and clowns :-) Keep them coming everyone!!

Here's my little black O snowfalke clown hosting in a very small sabea anemone

The blow pic is a black O hosting in her red carpet anemone (haddoni carpet anemone)

Both pics are about 2 months old. both anemones have grown noticably since then

merry xmas

here is mine. the ritteri isn't doin well though. deflates daily precisely at 4 p.m.

Have you tried reducing the photo period, or shading the anemone? When they deflate late in the day, it's typically because the light is to bright and/or the photo period is to long. Your anemone appears to contain a vast population of zooxanthellae. This can make the anemone very sensitive to intense lighting or long photo periods. I would start reducing the lighting before 4:00.

i tried the lightin shield that failed. it took immediate actions to the brighter area after witnessin its spot becomin dimmer

yet i didn't think about shortin the photo period

now the sunrise starts at 7:50 and full lightin starts at 9 for 10 hours and gradually goes off at 8:05

i guess i'll be shortin the full lightin hour to 8 and have a look at what is to happen

Your very small sebae appears to be a H.Malu, and should get no larger than about 10", so it will always be fairly small.
I actually prefer them for this reason in a mixed reef.
H. Malu and H. crispa are both what are often called sebae's, crispa being much larger.

Here's my babies! As you can see I'm addicted to clowns.

FYI "DawgFace" is my screen name for my local reef club.

My melanopus

My melanopus

OK, I have no where near the quality pictures here. Also these new guys move a lot so these pictures don't do them justice. I love this variant of melanopus clown. Female chases male away intermittently, so hope they really pair up.

Here's another that partially shows the GBTA. Again poor quality pic. Sorry, it's time for an SLR
