I've got two Seio 1100's in my 24" cube

Wow. Just when I thought one would be enough. Looks like i'll be cashing in those pennies ;)

Hey guys - re: the Oceanic 37g cube. I understand this is not made anymore. Is that correct? They have a 37g tank on their site that's 24" x 18" x 21". Is that the 37g cube tank, or was there another one?

As requested a few pics of the light stand, it pivots up and down. The thought behind this over having it swing out is that sometimes when your cleaning you wnat the light still over the tank, that way you can still see everything well.

The glass is from Sea star (vancouver Island Canada) and the stand is framed with 2x4 and solid maple exterior.

Dyak,

Can you give me a better idea of how (and what materials) you built your light stand from?

It's kinda hard to tell from the pics, but is there any welding done on yours?

Thanks

Does anyone know the manufacturer of this tank of if it can be drilled? Bought it off ebay and the previous owner doesn't know. Any help would be appreciated as I hate HOT overflows.

With those sloppy silicon corners it almost looks like a glasscages. In which it is probably all glass, but don't take my word for it. All of glasscages tanks I have seen have had black trim and not faux wood.

I did find a sticker on it. The tank is made by Ocean View Awuarium Products I believe. I can only read the View Aquarium Products part. Does anyone know if Ocean Views tanks are tempered?

Thanks

Here is what I did to my Ocean View Tank.:D It was not tempered.

weird, I can't really tell what that picture is showing. Looks like some weird red junk sitting on a tank with a drilled hole in it... strange shadows etc. very amazing how strange and abstract that picture is. so what did you exactly do? Put red stuff on it? Maybe it's shattered, though one could only guess from a picture trying to prove something about not being tempered.

I was just trying to show the big hole drilled through the glass with no problems. The red stuff was a water dam to keep the bit from overheating. Also, that's the only hole I needed for my setup.

oh ok... was very confusing, especially because it was 1) a bad picture that's very obscure, and 2) no explanation, too hopeful that the picture would suffice.

but I get it now. very nice drilled hole =)
