It walked into my PH this morning. :(

Still mostly bubbly but we'll see.

Thats a bummer.
Roses are pretty hardy. I bet it will recover.

60G cube 36" Cabinet

60G cube 36" Cabinet

I am currently having built a 60G Cube acrylic aquarium. The tank will measure 24"X24"X24". It will have a predrilled island overflow. I would like to design a cabinet 36" in height. I was curious if anyone feels that this would be to top heavy. Id like the tank to be prominent in the middle of a room and be viewable from all angles. Your opinions please.

I think you will want more room than that tank will give with an island overflow. Your talking about less than a foot on all sides of the overflow. Just my opinion. I wish I had more room in my tank and I have a corner overflow.

robertprflI agree with reefwaters.
I have a 24 x 24 x30 It had an island overflow and there simply was not enough room for rock.
As a fish only with limited rock it would have been OK.

I took out the overflow and reconfigued it with an overflow on what is now the back. viewable on 3 sides.

Here's a public display system that i've been working on that inludes a 60g low-iron glass cube. It's at the Ithaca Sciencenter

I hope 36" insn't too high I just made my 30" cube stand 40" inches high.

FYI the stand pictured above is 32 but with a narrow base. Rock solid without being top heavy.

I think if the floor is rocky then you might have an issue

looks great what kind of rock is that?

I have had that Snowflake for 2 years now, and in the 90g, the darn fish would smack him the head with there tails when he got to hanging in there area. He really didn't care and wouldn't move, but he never has bothered or really cared about the fish, plus I think the damsels and the pseudochromis are to fast for him anyway.

I'm seriously considering a 36x36x24 Starphire and rimless cube from Miracles. Does anyone have pictures of a similiar size cube they could share? :)

^^ Ditto. I've been thinking about a 36x36x24 for a while now, but it seems to be a pretty uncommon size. Did you get a quote from Miracles Aquaticman?

That would be my dream cube. I would build it taller though. Say 30 inches high. No euro brace on top just a clean box.
