Here's my 60.

5-12-06-full.gif

Nice tank, i have the same size! Is that a fuge i see? Do you have a separate chambers? I noticed the problem with our size tank, its hard to fit a fuge under our tnak in the sump, plus have room enough for the skimmer... I'm trying to figure out how i can do that without having to put up baffles. If I use baffles, then i have to take out the sump, and the only way i can take out my sump is by taking out all my stuff in the main tank and removing the main tank from the stand.

Cant wait til my cube Finishes its cycle

I recently got my cube... 31"x31x28" Its in my gallery, currently cycling with a 4.5 inch dsb and 45 lbs of live rock.. will put in another 45 lbs of good live rock in this week...

i did have a thread following my progress... but its been pushed off :(

will try to repost a more throrough thread when it gets more interesting :P

Need some help! I have a 60 gallon cube 24x24x24, 400watt 10k PFO Halide, 60watt odesye attinic, 20 gallon refugium, I have had no luck with frags. They turn very pale or if its an acropora they turn white and the skin seems to shed off. I have checked and checked parameters added cheato and lots more...Whats the process with acclimating sps with high intensity light?

I have a 60g cube as well with a single 400watt pendant over it (lumenarc3), but I run a much weaker hamilton 14,000K bulb. A 10,000K is most likely burning that tank up!

Three Q's...
Do you have a skimmer?

What parameters have you checked/what are they?

How old is the tank?

The best way, provided both of those things are okay, is to simply raise the light up... Id say 18" in your case, and slowly lower the light over time.

It is a wood commonly used in building guitars is probably why.
It is mismarked as walnut when used in furniture and the price jacked even higher than it already is.

Definitely some beautiful handiwork there though, and yes the choice of wood is great!

I am waiting for my cube to arrive. 20x20x16.
Will post when it gets here.

I have a prizm skimmer

My tank is about 4 months old

Nitrates=10-15
Nitrites=0
amonnia=0
ph=8.2-8.4

I had my calcium and alk tested they were a little high but not dangerous.

I run my attinic from 10am - 9p.m
My halide turns on from 2pm - 7pm

I have had water temp swings from 79-83
I added a new heater and a fan on timers to help the swing.

Chetm2..as far as shape of aquarium and wood used, that's the nicest display i've ever seen. That's just an incredible display man.
