Joedelt, you paid $400 for a 60-gallon tank? Seems very high.

I would make the 240 myself but the acrylic would cost me $500.

its about the going rate for acryllic cube tanks. only one's ive seen cheaper are glass. also i dont make my own tanks, so thats not an option for me

Hell I would have made you 2- 60's for that price.

But I guess that is what the market price is.

Here is my 20x20x20 cube.

Anyone know a place to get a 60g acrylic cube 24"x24"x24" online? the only quotes I have are from Tenecor and seem a little expensive for me, I guess quality is that expensive.

THX...

Hmmm... just noticed this. Why does it seem like those with cube tanks are in the science/math/computer fields. I remember some personality profile which asks you to picture some 3D shape floating in the desert. Those who say cubes are usually scientifically minded. Cool :)

Well, I am studying law so maybe I am the weird one in the bunch.

Mujica any updates on your cube?

Know anyone in Monterrey that can make an acrylic cube 24"?

THX in advance.

Just picked up my "cubish" tank tonight from the shipper. Bought from Glasscages.com. Had a 36" stand done in oak and a 15" high cap to house halides. The tank is brick style with low iron glass. Looks GREAT. Now to stain it and get the electrical wired into the stand. This is the fun part:D

This thread inspired me to go cube-ish, 65wide, thanks all!

Law is a science, kind of anyway.

"We like working outside of the "box"." Yet we shove theirs in one, lol! Someone asked me that question a while ago, cube was the first thing that came to mind.

That sounds too good to be true .
Anyway, here's my old 30 gallon cube reborn (19"x19"x19"). I had this tank custom made probably over 3 years ago (paid way too much but they didn't have the Oceanic Cubes back then), I sold it about a year ago, and now bought it back at a heavily discounted price. I had to redo the finish on the stand and since the tank was empty I went ahead and polished it out. I'm just waiting for my lighting and will start stocking it by mid next month.
