Update.

Removed some rockwork to allow room for a Lifereef overflow and sump/closed loop to the established 30. This tank has been running since Jan '04.

Nice tank mycall14! I love how the rock goes all the way to top, giving the illusion that the reef keeps going up. Very nice! I wish I would have done something like that with my Oceanic cube.

When I get brave, I'll post pics of my tank. :D

ReefWaters: Killer! Looks like your going to have to do some bonsai fragging once everything really takes off and the corals start to get big! :D

corro, thank you very much for the compliment. I do a little trimming every once in a while. I have had to chop back the purple digi several times in 6 months and recently got rid of the entire colony on the right side. Other than the digi and the xenia, I let it pretty much grow.

Ill chime in with my project, still in the works. Its a beast... I know.. dont remind me. O)

Its 85gal dimensions are 36x36x15. Lit by one 250w HQI, and am going to add two T5 actinics down the road.

Still need to pick out a skimmer ( any suggestions?).

I have two return lines and am going to run a mag 7 on each. Right now I only have one drain that is 1.5" but will most likely be adding another one.

sellout007 - WOW nice 3x3" but 15" high?? too short for my preference..maybe 24" min.

i would go w/ a ER 6-2+ will be more than you need but a GREAT skimmer

keep us posted w/ pics...BTW stand and top look nice so far

Yeah, I know, story of my life. I regret not going higher. If I go higher then 18" though I needed thicker plastics, so it was sort of a price issue. All together the tank, stand and canopy cost less then $250 to make.

If I make another one, which im sure I will, it will be larger and taller, no doubt.

ok for less than 250 i wouldn't complain...that looks VERY VERY nice for so cheap too!! great job

hey it would be a great frag system down the road...or a clamn tank
